Shipping/Boxing

Class orders: For the lowest possible pricing, shipping/boxing charges for class orders can be provided when you place your order. Please fax us a purchase order and we will fax back the cost including shipping. If you are in a rush, use the retail (individual order) shipping so you do not have to wait for us to provide shipping costs.

For individual orders placed directly with Duben Books (to U.S.addresses), please add $4 for the first book and $2 for each additional book for shipping and boxing. The same shipping can be used for class orders, or you can ask us to check the actual cost of boxing by our printer plus UPS shipping.

Retail orders for the Israeli Hebrew textbooks can be placed directly with Duben Books or with Amazon.com.

We had some problems with Amazon's order fulfillment in the past, but these difficulties now seem to have been resolved. It generally takes two weeks or less to get books via Amazon. (We fill Amazon's orders within a few days of when we receive them, but Amazon can be somewhat slow (or even very slow) in placing the order with us.) Please send us copies of any correspondence with Amazon if they do not fill your order properly. This correspondence can help us help Amazon to improve their processing of your orders.

Payment information: Due to the high expense for small users, we do not take credit cards. We accept payment by check. Your check must be drawn on a U.S. bank and payable in U.S. dollars. We regret any inconvenience this may cause for our international customers. Unfortunately, bank exchange charges are very high and would make our prices prohibitive.

Audio Material NEW!

Audio cassettes are available from Indiana University, Real Audio is available over the Internet and the audio files can be downloaded for free in MP3 format. There is a charge for the audio cassettes, but the other audio services are free.

We are pleased to announce that Judy Schoaff of the University of Florida Language Learning Center has produced Real Audio versions of the original Israeli Hebrew audio tapes. These are available for FREE use at http://www.clas.ufl.edu/llc/IsraeliHebrew/index.html. The sound quality is much better generally than it was with audio tapes, and this is a free bonus to students of Hebrew.

You will need to download the Real Audio Basic Player to use these materials.

We would be happy to authorize other institutions to make mirror sites with the same audio materials. Please contact Peter Cole (pcole@udel.edu) if you are interested in creating such a website at your institution.

FREE!!!

The Real Audio materials consist of digitized lessons to accompany Book I and Book II.

THERE IS NO CHARGE..

MP3 Format Audio

Audio files are now also available for download in MP3 format (thanks to Mark Gurfinkel). There is no charge for the MP3 files. Users are hereby granted a revocable license to download the audio files and to use them for the study or teaching of Hebrew. If desired, the MP3 files can be converted to audio CDs using a conversion program and a CD burner.

The URL for the MP3 files is http://www.ling.udel.edu/pcole/MP3/. Then click on either Book_1 or Book_2 for a list of files to accompany each book. You may need to alt-click (option-click) on the files to download them rather than play them on your browser. After that convert to audio format and put on a CD or just move the MP3 files to a CD to make an MP3 CD. The can also be played on an iPod etc.

Please let us know your experiences in using and working with these audio files. We have corrected some bad files, so we hope that the recordings will be better than previously.

$25.20 plus $3.20 shipping for tapes to accompany Book I

$22 plus $3.20 shipping for tapes to accompany Book II

If you would like these FREE, you can make your own CD!

Do you need our

audio files on a CD?

This requires conversion of the MP3 files (above) to audio CD format. While the process is simple, it is quite time consuming, and we don't have the manpower to do it. We would be happy to authorize you to produce audio CDs (for sale if you wish). Please let us know if you would like to provide this service to other users.

The audio materials are very useful adjuncts to the textbooks, but they are not commercial quality recordings. Users should expect some background noise/tape hiss etc. The MP3 versions are much easier to control than audio tapes so we recommend them highly.

Terms

All book prices are net. All orders are exclusive of shipping and packing/boxing. Shipment is by UPS. Prepayment is required. We are too small to take credit cards so prepayment by check or money order is required.

For class orders, if you would like us to determine the lowest possible cost for shipping, please fax us your P.O. and we will fax back a proforma invoice including shipping and packing. If you are in a rush, you can prepay shipping at the retail rate of $4 for the first book and $2 for each additional book. Books will be shipped as soon as payment is received.
